Best Actor

They're bringing out former coworkers to pay tribute to the five nominees. Let's see who they are.


1.) Michelle Pfieffer - tells a story about Jeff Bridges in "The Faboulous Baker Boys". I never understood that movie. She's going on for awhile here...too many cliches.

2.) Vera wahtshername - Hmmmm...she's trying to crack a joke but getting little response. Ugh, these tributes are going on too long.

3.) Julianne Moore - she talks up Colin Firth in A Simple Man. I see what they're trying to do here....tell some nice stories about the nominee....but it sounds like a speech a co-worker would give when their boss is about to retire

4.) Tim Robbins - Nice! Some Shawshank Redemption stories. Good story....good joke there. Very nice tribute there! Good job Tim.

5.) Colin Ferral - Colin roasts his friend, at least I hope he's his friend...they seem like cool guys.

And here's Kate...all Britishy to name the winner. It should be Jeff Bridges.

And the winner is Jeff Bridges...niiiice! He's been acting for almost 40 years but he looks great. Nice shout out to Mom and Dad....uh-oh, don't break down here...he's got the choked up laughs going. Haha, I like his looseness here....he seems a bit stoned maybe? He is "the Dude" after all and I think tonight, "The Dude obliges".






I wish they'd bring out Kathy Ireland to do this.
